That what I called Struggling Dreams. When dreams exists only in your subconscious and your daily routine, your so called normal life, your short-term expectation and other not so important things in the way. Dreams that left abandoned while people around you tell that you're doing good, that you're performing well, that you will become somebody that they think you really up to… but they never understand what you really really up to…

Dreams are struggling to exist and we often bury them during our daily activities. People don't understand our dreams, they only think that we up to something. Thus people tend to discourage, misleading and give confusing opinion on how to achieve in certain topic.

I say dreams are life essences. Something that moves you to the right path, the most encouraging, the purpose of your life, the vision that build mission you should accomplish. Something that one should focused in.

Dreams are always good because they built by heart, soul and most beautiful life experiences. For all beautiful experiences are the best lessons.

This post just like some other things is a reminder for one to live the dreams and never leave them behind due to whatever else that could be "current obligation". In such situation, never bury but keep. Let them struggle within…

Setelah beberapa bulan absen ngebut bareng Ivan, akhirnya Minggu pagi kemaren kita jalan lagi, dan ini laporan sederhananya.

“We are agreed, we have reached the next level”

Ivan menjual A4 lamanya beberapa bulan yang lalu dan saya kehilangan partner ngebut yang tentunya membuat saya agak kehilangan “touch”. Tapi sejak dua minggu yang lalu Ivan sudah mengendarai Audi impiannya: A4 2.0T. Sebuah sedan compact Audi hitam dengan mesin bertenaga 200 hp.

Saya bangun jam 04.30. Meskipun baru tidur sejam, sama sekali nggak ngurangin semangat untuk ngebut. Janjian ketemu di depan starbucks TIS jam 05.00 dan seperti biasa saya telat 10 menitan. Akhirnya liat lawan baru (mobil baru). Saya bilang, “hebat lho sekarang ada “T” nya di belakang 2.0 nya.” Dan kami tertawa-tawa satu menit sebelum berangkat.

Saya pengguna CBN dengan ID 01-20321-5.

Tahun ini saya memutuskan untuk menggunakan CBN connection menggunakan jalur kabelvision. Untuk koneksi ke site?server yang berlokasi di Indonesia cukup ok.. tapi kalo koneksi ke server di luar Indonesia, terasa sangat menyedihkan.

 Saya membayar 605.000 rupiah per bulan (termasuk PPN) hanya untuk koneksi CBN nya saja (belum termasuk kabelvision). Saya pakai koneksi ini hanya bila saya berada di rumah (di atas jam 10 malem dan sebelum jam 10 pagi). Pengunaannya pun hanya untuk satu komputer yaitu komputer Powermac tercinta ini. Tapi koneksi yang ga di share ke mana-mana itu ternyata tetap saja mengecewakan. Sangat mengecewakan lebih tepatnya.  Yang saya bayar adalah termasuk paling mahal untuk koneksi personal di Indonesia.

Hari ini saya berusaha meng-upload folder yang totalnya berukuran 190 kb ke server indohype.com yang di host di amerika, setelah 2 jam dan 20 kali retry baru berhasil upload dengan rata-rata transfer rate nya 200 bytes/s. Padahal total yang saya harus upload sekitar 2 mb. Bayangkan berapa lama saya harus upload file sebesar itu dan berapa retry saya lakukan.

Padahal server  itu tidak punya masalah koneksi bisa dilihat dari gambar di bawah ini, di mana ping dilakukan oleh network-tools.com

Saya ga tau kenapa masih ada koneksi yang luar biasa lambat di Jakarta dan oleh provider dengan nama besar seperti CBN. Padahal kabar-kabar bahwa koneksi-koneksi backbone nasional-internasional sudah dibuka oleh banyak pihak. Indosat dan telkom saja sudah GB, begitu juga XL yang buka koneksi langsung ke TM dengan kapasitas GB. Ditambah lagi Moratel yang buka saluran fiber optic ke Singapore lebih dari 100 stm. Masih ditambah lagi Telkom, Indosat dan TM yang ikutan konsorsium AAG.

Kemana aja si CBN ini??? Atau memang semua ISP kecepatannya se dodol ini??  Saya juga belum tahu pasti… tapi mungkin begini sajalah rekomendasi saya…

JANGAN PAKAI JASA CBN!! kecuali mereka sudah memperbaiki standar layanannya, bukan hanya untuk corporate saja tapi juga untuk personal.

hari ini terjadi pemecahan rekor baru. Hanya 43 menit saja dari rumah (Kostrad - Arteri PI) sampai kantor (NET). Alat pengukur yang digunakan adalah jam tangan Bugs Bunny. Pengukuran dimulai ketika mobil keluar dari garasi dan berhenti saat saya duduk di singgasana komandan.

Lamanya waktu tersebut sudah termasuk nutup pintu garasi,  lewat jalan tikus yang tembus di gandaria, hambatan orang bloon parkir di Gado-gado Boplo Barito, salah parkir di basement MIK dan nunggu lift di basement.

Kesimpulan saya adalah, ini bukan merupakan prestasi dari si Hijau, meskipun saya ngebut sedikit ketika di wijaya dan di rasuna said. Rekor terjadi lebih disebabkan oleh “agak lancarnya” jalan dari rumah ke kantor, padahal lagi musim kampanye pilkada. Mungkin juga sih disebabkan sirkulasi lalu-lintas Jakarta tidak lancar alias di jalur lain macetnya luar biasa.

anyway… mudah-mudahan begini terus atau lebih lancar lagi…

Sit in front of me, a close friend facing real deep business problem.. He looks very stressful that he did not say anything during his visit to my office. He even refused when I offered him to order lunch… "I feel numb… don't have passion for food..", he said. I kinda aware of his situation from everyone else but him before. His group of companies which employ more than 200 people in Jakarta and more in Surabaya is going down. No major business case happened since last year so cash flows were running slow and slower. Today, he confirmed what I heard elsewhere, that he already decided to sell the company's 9 level building, as his last resort to keep the business running and all employee stay on board. Frankly, I have such similar problem… I'm not sure wether mine are worse or lighter than his. The outstanding debts are over 1,2 billions which is even me find it so hard to imagine that I have such a huge debt… probably you noticed that I am not a glamorous person who spend a lot on luxury stuff… I don't even have much of anything from my spending… but daily consumption. However, it is not my only concern… the bigger problem is to maintain rational and stay alive… for those who relies on me.

Does the title remind you of something? The phrase was shouted by Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr. in Jerry Maguire Movie (Gooding role part was a football player which represented by Tom Cruise as his agent). In this movie the phrase shouted first by Gooding to gain better respective cooperation from his agent (Cruise) and then he also ask his agent to yell it out as well; a mellodrama happened because at the very moment Cruise were losing every other client. Talk about showing the money… Muswardi and me agreed that we will strictly yell-out "show me the money!!!" to our potential clients during this hardbreathing moment. We think, it is our right to yell out such phrase since we always yelled by our vendor and partners. However… It will pass once we can have a normal mode moneyflow (not cashflow) to our pockets.

dari pintu tol cilangkap itu sampe ujung tol pondok apa gitu… bintaro… sebuah bmw ngebut secara mendadak… sepertinya mau nunjukin kalo mobilnya ok… gue dan si hijau jadi tertarik untuk ngikutin… cuma ngikutin aja… ngebutlah kita…
